Terms and Conditions
Entry to the competition is restricted to participants who are residents of the United Kingdom. It’s open to anyone except employees, directors and contractors of Independent Television News Limited (ITN) or The Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts, their families, agents or any other person(s) connected with the competition. Entrants must be 16 years of age or older.
The prize is to become part of the crew shooting the videos across one weekend in November 2015.
Details of how to enter can be found here: http://www.nativityfactor.com/Nativity/How and the provisions of the “How To Enter” section form part of these Terms and Conditions
The winners, who will participate in making the films, will be chosen from their submissions by a Nativity Factor representative, the director and the producer who will be heading the production team for each film. Winners will be announced in early November 2015.
Following the selection process, ITN’s Communities and Engagement Manager will contact the winners by phone and email to inform them they have won a place with the production crew. The winners will then each have two days to accept their place; if a winner does not accept within two days, ITN’s Communities and Engagement Manager will contact the runner-up by phone and email to inform them they have won a place in one of the two teams. The runners-up will then each have two days to accept their place; and so on until all the places are full.
By entering, entrants agree that if they win and participate in making a film, their names, likenesses and general location may be used for publicity purposes by ITN in any and all media. Winners will be required to submit valid identification/proof of age before being awarded their spot on the team.
By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these rules. Entries which do not comply with or are in breach of the rules are ineligible to win. In the event of any mistake, error, fault or dispute relating to this competition, the decision of ITN will be final. No correspondence will be entered into.
ITN will not be liable for any failure of receipt of applications. ITN takes no responsibility for any applications which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.
ITN will not be liable for any loss or damage in relation to the weekend filming; and in no event will ITN be liable for any incidental or consequential damages (including, without limitation, indirect, special, punitive, or exemplary damages) arising out of this competition, including the filming.
Following the filming weekend, a member of ITN’s editorial team will watch both films before they are made publicly available in order to ensure that they meet ITN’s standards. ITN will not promote or publish any film it deems inappropriate, and its decision on this matter (and all other matters relating to the completion and the filming) is final.
ITN reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the competition (including altering the prizes) at any time and for any reason. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned.
The competition will be exclusively governed by the laws of England and Wales and all entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
